Biography

ARAHAT is a soloproject that took of in the fall of 2007, when Thomas decided - after having played in some bands in Jonkoping (Sweden) - that he wanted to try it on his own. The music that came out of this pursuit was a way to express emotions and temporary thoughts about life, the future and the human condition. The lyrics was inspired by various happenings - Black Magic for instance came into being after a study for a school paper and explores the perspective of a person with strong convictions - New Eyes Dawning is actually inspired by the band Neurosis album "Given to the rising" and is about the younger generation facing a possible future. The new movement that is on the way - through the webb for instance - and the musical revolution is fascinating and was an inspiration for this song. Reinhardt is about a recurring dream figure, someone who both helps and turns everything upside down. Quiet refers to Thoreaus statement that "men of today lead lives of Quiet Desperation", its partly a critique of modern society, partly a song of recognition. Soon the band will have a website up - ARAHAT.ORG - where you can find out more about the music, collaberate with the band in making videos for the music and sending in animation, texts, photos etc. - anything. This should be a site where people can participate.

ARAHAT is an exploring project where you are invited to partake with an open mind, no matter where you are from, what you believe or hold true.
